Every Day is New!!

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!””
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:23–24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I love the Spring and watching everything turn green and bloom. This Spring in East Texas has been a very unique one for us. It’s a new area with new greenery, and it was amazing to me how fast everything went from Winter to full on Spring. The pollen everywhere was nothing I have ever seen before. Spring reminds me of fresh new beginnings. With our walk with our Father, we can wake up every day with a fresh new start. We can put away the mishaps and personal failures from the day before and start all over.

I love how God shows himself in the beauty of the earth He made, and similarly how He shows himself in how he cares for us. He is merciful. He knows what we need and provides. And in due season, He will fulfill all the good plans we have not seen yet. Along the way, he provides. And along the way He walks alongside us showing us mercy in ways that may go unnoticed by others, and even by us if we don’t pay attention. He is so personal. He knows every intricacy of each of us, what makes us smile and what to give us to let us know He’s there. As we take notice of how He meets our needs and how He shows himself in our lives, we can continue taking one day at a time allowing him to work on our hearts. The beautiful outward bloom of His glory will appear when it’s time. Just like Spring trees and flowers! And then, when we do get to meet him face to face in Heaven, the beautiful creation he made will be ready!

“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Father help me to have a heart postured with gratitude, and not focus on my troubles but focus on you who is eternal and constant. Thank you that your mercies are new every day and that those mercies are what get me through all the seasons of life. They remind me that you are there and that you care. I love you. Amen.
