I am STRONG when I am weak…

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This scripture goes on to say…

“That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Life is filled with hardships for all of us at one point or another. In those times where all I can do is just breathe- I have to remind myself to focus on the good things in my life today to get me through the season. Life truly does humble our hearts in hard times. That’s good, cause let’s admit that no one likes a haughty, proud person. Its through the humbling life circumstances that we are molded and made humble. The suffering of loss and low times reminds us of our humanity and the end — Heaven.

We’re not here on earth very long; time truly does fly. If we can keep the finality of this life on our minds as we live each day, how much more tolerant and loving will we be towards ourselves and others? We are reminded in tough times that all of us are mere humans who will all end up at the same outcome….and we don’t know when that may be.

In our weaknesses, hard times, and through a humble heart, He shines, and we are made strong. Let’s not give up during the hard times, but press on during times of pain and weakness and allow His strength to prevail.

Father, thank you for giving us strength to keep going and to lean on your strength when we are weary and weak. Help me today to posture my heart humbly before you that you may be strong in me, a mere human. Amen.
